Biography

Born in a musicial family, Felicia Y. Porter has continued the legacy in making a name for herself as the leader in a new breed of trombonists. While heavily influenced by artists such as Fred Wesley and Freddie Hubbard, Felicia's playing and composing style have a uniquely lyrical quality.

Felicia's playing has led her to tour throughout the US, Europe, and Japan. She has also had the honor of sharing the stage with artists such as Chaka Khan, The Impressions, and John Blackwell Jr, just to name a few.

The Felicia Y. Porter quintet brings together an eclectic blend of musicians from around the world (Deji Adetajo and Daniel Adegbola from Nigeria, Mario Caramel from Italy, Larry Willimas from LA), and together they perform a combination of originals plus some of your jazz and soul favorites.
