Bio

Is Féloche bonkers? Not entirely. Even though his sweet and sour songs suggest an unconventional outlook on life, much like his career. From Ukrainian punk to Cajun electro, this Parisian musician has had quite a journey, and his goal has remained the same: to split ternary into binary. His favorite instrument: the mandolin, which allowed him to go back to the roots of folk-blues before electricity.

Fabulous, quirky Féloche has spent the last ten years putting together a retro-futuristic dance band, between chaotic late nights and swinging tomorrows. Like a radiant hybrid on the asphalt jungle of this end of millennium. This jack-of-all-trades’ universe is very DIY, between subtly complex harmonies, modified beat boxes and finely sculpted melodies. Like on “Singin’ in the Rain”, the classic he made his by inviting the actress Nora Arnezeder to sing with her slightly veiled voice bringing an extra dose of silky soul and grace to this cover song.

Is Féloche magic? Slightly, when you listen to his Cajun gimmicks, as on the emblematic title track. This is the universe of this debut album by Féloche who revisits the Louisiana bayou, giving it a Paris touch. The menu features a spicy double bass with tangled strings, autobiographical songs and fanciful lyrics, a techno waltz and a psycho-Slavo shambolic punk track… All in all, one hell of a gumbo to which he summons Dr John, wizard of the swampy sound of New Orleans and major source of inspiration of this Vie Cajun.

On stage Feloche is joined by Léa Bulle (acordeon-trumpet-samples) and Christophe Malherbe (double bass). This Cajun-electro machine  runs on the pure energy of life.  "Welcome to Urban Bayou, a music driven by Feloche's nervous energy that has created a whole new sound!"
