Bio
Born August 20, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario, Fenton Fong was inspired to take the path of the performing arts at an early age after landing a lead role in his elementary school play. His family members had no connections and ties to the arts so venturing into such an unfamiliar field to him was an exciting and eye-opening experience.
Initially, when Fenton was first formally introduced to music, he started out with the clarinet and the flute. Eventually he decided to commit and dedicate himself to the violin at the age of eleven. However, it was not until his last year in high school that he discovered his voice and his love for singing.
Fenton went on to major in music at York University, where his focus was in jazz vocal performance. He took part in numerous choirs and studied under the vocal coach, Lynn McDonald. In his final year he stepped into the realm of classical singing to broaden his horizons with private lessons from Norma Burrowes.
He currently is under the mentor of Glen Alan at Find A Way and has just recently begun song writing, in hopes of taking his musical journey to the next level.
