Bio
Fernando Martínez del Campo shares his ability in blending different styles of music in his new production ORIENTED. This album moves smoothly back and forth from Rock Fusion to World Music ranging from Satriani to Pink Floyd. Accurate bits of Oriental instruments, powerful guitar leads, suggestive loops, exciting samplers and an expert final mix are the elements of what is being called: A delicious salad with the right dressing!
Fernando Martínez del Campo has been in the music arena for over 20 years. Founder of four recording studios, he is a producer, arranger and composer who has served in the advertising industry as well as in the launching of independent Mexican Rock bands.
Lead guitar player of several bands FMdC toured around Mexico and U.S. forums. After an intense activity with Sergio Arau y los Mismísimos Angeles, FMdC embarked upon a solo effort through the doors of New Age with a conceptual album Grutas inspired in the impressive caverns of Cacahuamilpa located in Guerrero, Mexico.
Admirer of many kinds of music, FMdC has been inspired by such music greats as Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel and countless others. Allowing his guitar to speak the words of this spirit, the single Dont Push Me tells a tale of his love for good music and shows his ability to melt different styles such as the Old School of Hip Hop and New Age World Music.
Living in Mexico, Fernando Martínez del Campo, a loving husband and proud father of two sons, is about to release his latest album ORIENTED sharing his musical moment with his world.
