Biography

Taking cues from the indie rock sounds of Franz Ferdinand and The Strokes among others, five-piece outfit Fever Artiste may be a fresh new face in rock and roll, but they refuse to be taken for granted. The band has already shown they're ready to inject new life into Melbourne by well and truly packing out the band room at 161 in Prahran for their debut performance.

What started out as a high school punk band between the teen-heart throb energy of frontman Josh and the mustachioed groove of lead guitarist Tim, turned into something far bigger as the nineties punk rock revival fell by the wayside and the garage rock craze took over.

The duo were quick to capitalise on their new found influences. Melodies were crafted, beats were written, and within time the songs were completed and demos were recorded, soon to be lost in the depths of time as the band grows bigger.

The lineup was completed in mid-2009 with the addition of Cameron on bass, Joel on drums and Tom on guitar. All three bring previous band and musical experience, including outfits such as The Solomons and High Falutin, giving the band grounding within the scene.

There's a fever spreading... watch this space!
