fg has a rare ability of being able to write great songs. For over 25 years I have watched his progress as a talented musician and songwriter and I am excited to see a CD at long last.
We first met back in the 60's when fg was a teenager and throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's teamed up with him as entertainers in clubs, pubs, wine bars and restaurants.
Jim Croce, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, The Beatles and many popular folk/rock musicians have had a great influence on his writing. However, fg has been able to weave his own style into his songs, many of which reflect his journey through life.
I love the selection he has chosen out of hundreds of songs written and wish him every success. To write, record and produce this C.D is a great tribute to his talent.
Beginning with the title track through the beautiful Sands of Time you'll be taken up country with Bootscootin' Mama and her Country Singers into the Cascade Bar where you'll see The Light of the Terrigal Moon as you look into Jessica's Eyes. Anyway you travel, you will surely have an Affair Of The Heart with 8-Track Love. I know you'll enjoy this CD and I eagerly look forward to the next one.
