She Swings

BandRock

Each track on Fiction City’s newest self-titled release will leave you itching for more. Intelligent songs and infectious tunes are complemented by hammering rhythms and ridiculous guitar riffs.

Biography

Fiction City's four members have a wide array of influences. Two of the members, the brothers, Randy and Johnny Simmen, have been writing music and touring together since their early teens (Berlington, Trouble With Ferguson). The other two members, Dan Sadowski and Paul Greenberg, have also known each other for many years, working alongside one another, in and around Toronto.
Looking to expand their fanbase South of the border, in February 2007 Fiction City left for their first Coastal American tour. No quicker as they took off, they returned to their native soil to write and record a new album, ultimately reconstructing and maturing their sound.

Lyrics

The Greatest

Written By: Randy Simmen

so this is how we're ending our good times
rubbing shoulders as we dive but still we splash in perfect sequence every time
every bed of water that we swim we're getting close enough to it
i think this time i'll lay right back and take this tide for a ride
you're the greatest and everyone watching can’t escape this you're more than they are
you’re rocking so clear you're right there
as we reach this sandy shore again take my hand and run for it
we'll hang our clothes to dry and watch these stars shoot by
but wishing is a pointless waste of time who needs a wish when you're alive
who needs a wish when you're alive
you're the greatest and everyone watching can't escape this you're
more than they are you're rocking so clear
you're right there

Every Other Second

Written By: Randy Simmen

every second
at least every other second my simple swears turn to complex scares and every minute at least every other minute this moon hangs low and my mouth explodes
this time we laugh without reason lay back and watch our angels dance all this silence this ever ringing silence takes a long drive home and stretches it out slow
have you not heard the stories where we dance all night exchanging i love you's
so much for our great ending show this time we laugh without reason lay back and watch our angels dance
cause the love we stole under city lights turns a sweet love song to a long goodbye
lets just survive this for ourselves
