FIDDLERS BID
Fiddlers’ Bid are internationally acclaimed as perhaps Scotland’s most exciting and dynamic fiddle band.
Hailing from Shetland, they are a veritable furnace of four incredible fiddle players - Chris Stout, Kevin Henderson, Maurice Henderson and Andrew Gifford - additionally powered by a rhythm engine-room of guitar, piano and bass, while the band also features arguably the nations’ most exciting and diverse clarsach (harp) player Catriona McKay.
Fiddlers’s Bid’s latest album ‘All Dressed in Yellow’ won ‘Best Album of the Year’ at the 2009 Scottish Traditional Music Awards and ‘Instrumental Album of the Year’ 2009 on the folk music website ‘Spiral Earth’.
