Fifty Dollar Dynasty
is rock ‘n’ roll to the soul, coming out of Bandera, Texas, the Cowboy Capital
of the World. A fan writes, “Each song
you hear is a masterpiece to the soul when you take it in . . . start to finish
you are taken on a journey.”
Their music is classic rock, with elements of soul,
alternative rock, and blues that make it as tough and brilliant as a titanium
alloy. The sound encompasses a constellation of the elements of rock ‘n’ roll—fluid movements, melodious
ballads, lyrics with intense clarity of vision, appealing vocals, and energetic,
electrifying licks—blended in a way that is distinctly Fifty Dollar Dynasty. One fan touched perfectly on
the whole of Dynasty’s sound: “The guitar
riffs come from somewhere deep down, the type of riffs you get from living out
in the Texas Hill Country and taking life in.”
In 2006, Dynasty
received this advice from a famous Texas rocker: “By woodshedding to make the best
music possible, you will hone your musical touch and vision.” They took those
words to heart, and when they refine a song, they have the awe-inspiring
privilege of putting it out for their fans, who soak it up, rock out at their
shows, and look forward to each new song.
Fifty Dollar Dynasty’s
music lights a fire in the listener. It won them the 2013 Texas Motor
Speedway’s Fast Track to Fame Contest, and a position as a Showcase
Artist at Springboard South Music Festival in 2014. After rocking the stage at
Springboard South in 2014, they will return as Showcase Artists in 2015.
The title song from their EP,
Prisoner, was recently licensed in the upcoming movie, “Divorce Texas
Style”.
A new album is in the works, with plans to release in June
of 2015.
