Bio

Despite having their tour van and gear stolen on their last North American tour Film School is going stronger than ever. Supporting their critically acclaimed second album "Hideout" released on Beggars Banquet in fall 2007, Film School continues to melt minds with their lush, loud and upbeat style of rock music. The album features guest spots by friends and fellow musicians Paul Wilson (Snow Patrol) and Colm O'Ciosoigh (My Bloody Valentine). "Hideout" has been nominated for best alternative/rock/indie record of 2007 in numerous locations, and has been avidly supported by fellow musicians in many genres like Sam Fogarino (Interpol) Brian Aubert (Silversun Pickups). The live show is one not to be missed.

Layered, dark pop bliss.
-XLR8R magazine

As always, the sound is epically mammoth and sinister. (8 of 10)
-Under the Radar Magazine

"CD of the Month"
- Performer Magazine's October 2007

Among the elite in the groundswell of acts finding more than a passing fascination with reinterpreting shoegazer's walls of distortion and hyper-stylized melodies. (4 stars)
-Aversion Magazine

Its the kind of album that dares you to roll up your car windows, crank it and be swallowed whole.
-Kevin Bronson, LA Times

With so many bands trying to relive the glory days of My Bloody Valentine, Jesus And Mary Chain and Galaxie 500, it's nice to see that somebody out there has done it right; not becoming a copy-cat, but making it truly their own.

- SF Live 105 music director Aaron Axelsen

They’ve been threatening to craft an album of great psych anthems since the early 2000s, and this is it.
