Bio
I am primarily a composer, although I can (and have) composed lyrics for songs.
In the 1960's,while in high school, I was a drummer in a band. This lasted 2 years. In the 1970's I played in a steelband (I am a Trinidadian after all) for 2 years and then abandoned music for 3 decades. In 2008, I started arranging Trinidadian folk songs and in December 2009, I completed my first major composition entitled "Born to be great". Since then, I have composed close to 50 songs. Fourteen compositions and four folk songs are published to date and these are registered with Soundexchange. My major musical influences came from Ahmad Jamal, Stan Getz, Quincy Jones and Ray Holman (a steelband arranger). I have had four licensing successes at Sonicbids over the last 3 months. Three in the genre of Children's Music and one R&B. I am comfortable in several genres including Contemporary Classical, Children's Music, Smooth Jazz, R&B, Latin, Afro-Caribbean Gospel and Rock/Asian Underground.
