Fans everywhere are talking about Filthy Funk, the product of three multi-talented musicians from upstate New York. They are John Viviani (guitar), Nick Murray (keys/synth bass), and Devon Tramell (drums/vocals/trumpet). Together with featured vocalist Danielle Ponder, they have created a fresh sound that combines elements of soul, rock, jazz, funk, and electronic music. Their newest album, Eklectric (December, 2009), has sold close to 1000 copies since its release, and garnered an A- rating on okayplayer.com, the homebase of hip-hop supergroup, The Roots.

Filthy Funk has played all over New York state, as well as NYC (Southpaw), Vermont (Red Square), Boston (Midway Cafe), and Austin, Texas. They have been a featured act in the Rochester International Jazz Festival twice (2008, 2010) and were described by many as a festival favorite.
