Final Recognition

Collectively we all have so many different influences both through music and life experiences it would take way too long to list everything, but I'll let you in on some. For Josh, his influences musically have been(not in any order): Metallica, Megadeth, Unearth, Lamb of God, All That Remains, Breaking Benjamin, Bullet For My Valentine, August Burns Red, Hatebreed, Slayer, Chimaira, Shadows Fall, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers Old Silverchair, System Of A Down, Pantera, Down, Superjoint Ritual, Deicide, Emmure, 36 Crazyfists, Alice In Chains, Led Zepplin, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, God Forbid, Burn The Preist, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Tool, Nirvana, Old Counting Crows etc. Nicks Influences are basically the same as Josh's being that we are brothers. Tom's Influences Include: Pantera, Slayer, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Megadeth, Carnivore, Type O Negative just to name a few. James K's influences are: i got no clue hes just a f'in sick bassist!! James Jones' influences are: Pantera, Metallica, Fear Factory, Alice in Chains, Tool, Rush, White Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, etc. We're different from other bands because we literally dont fit in to any specific genre, sure you can call us metal. thats fine. but truthfully, we can play any type of music. we would just rather watch you kick your friend in the face while we play. lol. and i dont think you can do that while watching 3 Doors Down perform. well, you can....but you'll most likely be thrown out of the show. back to Final Recognition.Final Recognition started out as a four piece hard rock band called Rodents Of Unusual Size. Singer/Guitarist Nick Curiale left the band in 2004 for personal reasons. More then a year went by, and through mutual friends, Nick met up with Lead Guitarist Tommy Hanrahan and chilled and got wasted one night. They talked of starting the project that soon became Final Recognition in the summer of 2005 and since then have undergone a few linup changes of drummers and bassists, finally settling on the linup you see today. In late 2005, due to problems with his voice, Josh left the band and underwent a long healing process in which he didnt speak for 2 weeks then drank nothing but water and tea with honey. He started singing again about 4 months later and in February of 2006 he rejoined the band and it became apparent that he was going to be their permanent vocalist. His vocals are vicious, raw, and axst-ridden. A perfect fit for Final Recognition. With him he brought a very talented drummer, James Jones. About two months later, he was at a bar in Woodmere, Long Island, and met bassist James K. they had some drinks and talked about him being apart of the project Final Recognition. We've started playing out at Long Island bars, and we are looking to expand and play in other areas around the northeast within the next 6 months to a year.
