"Live @ Opera House w/ Slaves On Dope, Agent Orange"

Final Trigger followed The Superstitions. These TO skrap metallers definitely had the home field advantage. In front of the stage, there was a good bunch of the young men and women, who yelled and rapped along to all the lyrics. Final Trigger's MC was a real crowd pleaser. Halfway through the set he jumped into the crowd and gave the guys'n'girls lots of great opportunities to snap a cool Facebook profile picture.

Final Trigger is metal with loads of street attitude - guitars, bass, drums, lead vocalist, lead MC and a turntable. This metal music examiner definitely enjoyed the bands energy and, for the very first time, experienced someone somersaulting off the stage.

"Concert Review @ Alrosa Villa, 10/29/2010"

For me, there were many disappointing aspects to Halloween this year; my two perennial favorite shows (Misfits & GWAR) had to both be missed. Wasn’t able to wander thru a single haunted house & didn’t give out any candy for Beggar’s Night. All in all, a paltry & sad specimen of the season of Samhain.

One highlight, and possibly a new third perennially favorite show, was the Mushroomhead CD release party at the Alrosa Villa. The masked septet from Cleveland play here a lot – in part, because they are as beloved in Columbus as they are in their own hometown. The show was sold-out, and it was good to see the aging walls of the Alrosa packed to the gills with masked freaks & leather-clad outcasts. Yeah, it felt like coming home.

After the local bands, first up was the dubiously named Final Trigger. The audience was noticeably skeptical of this particular outfit as they set up their equipment, probably because their line-up included a DJ. I’ll admit I was as well. Thankfully, we were all wrong & you could see the transformation sweep over the masses as the foursome from Toronto plowed into their set. Self proclaimed innovators of ‘Skrap Metal’, FT mix concrete heavy grooves with arena rock, anthemic power metal & yes, a smidge of hip-hop. Trust the Reverend, it’s not a poor man’s Limp Bizkit here – these guys take their metal influences seriously! Check out ‘Start a Moshpit’ on the Myspace link above. They remind me of Drowning Pool personally – see what you think.

"Final Trigger: "Rock 'n' Roll Gangsters""

The Skinny: If you’re a musician in Toronto, Canada, chances are you’ve been to Rehearsal Factory – a jam space with two prime locations both downtown and in the West end. If you’ve ever been to either location you’ve probably met the dudes in Final Trigger. After all, they run the place. Final Trigger brings a wicked combination of Hardcore, Metal and Hip Hop to the table which they call Skrap Metal; the closest comparison I can make would be Slipknot, only more “gangsta”.

Final Trigger released their debut five-song EP entitled Skrap Metal on October 16, 2009. Since the drop of the album, things have been picking up for the boys and both more shows and touring are soon to come. In March of 2010, Final Trigger began shooting an insane music video for their song "Start A Mosh Pit". The video below is just to get you stoked for the actual video to come.

No matter where they play, Final Trigger steals the show. As soon as they hit the stage, you know who the crowd is there to see. Jay busts out a sick riff, Alex slaps that bass likes it owes him money, Dan spins and scratches for that added hip hop feel, J.J. brings the beat on the drums and you, well, you're already moshing.

These “Rock ‘n’ Roll Gangsters” will leave you wanting more and craving the mosh, all 850 people who were at their CD release show will agree, and those who couldn’t get inside because it was sold out will back that up. If you like your music heavy, the THC (THC is an acronym for Toronto Hardcore) is the place to find it, so come out and “Start A Moshpit” with Final Trigger. “We’re Final Trigger Mutha Fucka, We Ain’t Stoppin!” [ END ]

"FINAL TRIGGER - Skrap Metal"

This is the first demo release for the Toronto band Final Trigger. You can really tell that these boys have worked hard to impress, as the recording and production of this CD is definitely professional. In my car, the kick drum in the subwoofer is almost enough to bounce the car off the ground. It’s clear to tell these guys pull their influences from such bands as Lincoln Park, however, their slick heavy metal and hardcore rap lyrics put their predecessors to shame. A simple cardboard sleeve with the logo on the front and the track listing on the back with contact info, you would never expect what is inside. Five original tracks of slick heavy metal fused with rap styled, hardcore vocals. Early favorites include: “Corporate Bullshit”, “Dangerous”, and “Rock ‘n Roll Gangster”. I’m looking forward to hearing more from this band. A great first recording deserves a solid 4/5 sphincters.

Bio

Final Trigger is a band that comes along once in a lifetime. They are a Toronto-based 4 piece and the innovators of Skrap-Metal. The music is a mixture of high-energy metal with a hip-hop feel. The band creates a unique sound and a sick vibe, with vocal hooks and anthem choruses that are un-deniable to any listener.

Vocalist/Guitarist J-Roc provides the guitar-driven structures and screaming vocals for the band. His guitar tone is absolutely a wall of sound with influences of Dimebag Darrell, Dave Mustaine, and Hed PE.

Bass-man/Vocalist Fazio brings a funky and equally heavy vibe. He plays with a rock-solid presence and slap-bass style, with influences of Cliff Burton, Marcus Miller, James Brown and Faith No More.

The DJ role has become a lost art in rock bands, but Final Trigger does not follow trends. DJ/Vocalist Profit brings a smooth hip-hop vibe to the music, which helps mold the unique sound. And to tie it all in, a master drummer that contributes the backbone beats and rythyms with a metal/funk style to get the groove just right, with influences of Van Halen, Mike Bordin, and Dennis Chambers.

This group of members is the magical combination that makes the sound and image of Final Trigger. The amount of superior talent on their instruments really makes them an All-Star line-up, and second to none.
The band believes hard in their music, and are proud to live their lyrics and image.
Final Trigger have been making a lot of noise in the local music scene as well as abroad. Having shared the stage with the likes of Hail The Villain, Baptized In Blood, Threat Signal, Slaves On Dope, Agent Orange, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Boondox and more. The band never fails to attract 100% of the audience's attention with its sick vibe and hooks.

The recent release of their debut EP "Skrap Metal" (mixed by Jagori Tanna) was backed by a CD release party which sold out the Opera House in Toronto, and was followed by a 6-week USA tour as direct support for Mushroomhead. The band is currently working on recording their full length album which will capture the sound and essence of Final Trigger, and will spread the music to the world.
