Singer/songwriter Finbarr Doherty performs on a regular basis in the North West of Ireland where he is based. More recently in Sept 2010 he performed a number of gigs in Boston, including guesting with Session Americana, this tour was supported by Culture Ireland.

He has performed as support act for bands such as Los Lobos, Everything but the Girl, the Saw Doctors, and regularly plays and co-produces work with Actec Camera bass man Campbell Owens. His songs have been covered by other bands including the Henry Girls and Session Americana.

Highlights include:

Performances at Galway Arts Festival, Earagail Arts Festival
Finbarr was lead singer and songwriter for the band 33rd Hurricane featured on the Dave Fanning Sessions; and other RTE TV and national and regional radio airplay
‘Shotgun Blast’ voted in top three Irish videos of 1992 by Hotpress

New CD coming out in Spring 2011.

Across the Water
This CD based on book ‘The Last of the Name’ launched by Earagail Arts festival. A song of the album was featured in a musical ‘Ceol na n-Imirce’ staged in the Millennium Forum, Derry.
