"Groovy Song Man..."

Review of "One More Thing"...

When the song first started I was instantly flashed back to a Humboldt Music Festival: Hippies, Beer, Joints, and Sunshine. Very Ben Harper. They seem like they would be very good live. Great for a summer music showcase. The horns add a great vibe to the song. The song has so much to it.

Bio

Fingerbowl Jumpstart has deep roots in organic improvisation. Drawing from the influences of Ben Harper; Sublime, Widespread Panic; the Grateful Dead; Phish; Bob Marley; Dylan, and Pink Floyd - they've managed to craft a modern, downtown, summer street vibe that appeals to all.

Craig Tiede of Metro said this of Fingerbowl's style, "(the) songs had a jammy feel to them with a splash of funk and rock thrown in".

All performances are one of a kind brimming with an energy that pinches, builds and screams while searching for the highest of highs and the most mysterious of places.

The eclectic-electric guitar playing of Kris Alberts colors, fills and explores as Mike Wagner's vocal range soars way high up in the sky, but with grit and a playful reggae growl. All the while, the accomplished rhythmn section of John Woods (bass), and Jeff Waver (drums) drive the band with their raw intensity and tribal-funk bumps and beats. Tim Misch on saxophone adds his own hues to the mosaic, complimenting Alberts' leads with his own minor riffs and subtle melodic eruptive flows.
