They’re cool, they experiment, and have parallel projects, FingerFingerrr seasons traditional rock with hi-tech sound effects and are one of ELLE’s bets for the future.
They’re still not a household name, but have that “je ne sais quoi” that hooks you on the spot, starting with their style. Flavio Juliano (vocals and guitar), Ricardo Cifas (drums), Gianni Dias (bass) are the names behind FingerFingerrr, a trio from Sao Paulo, Brazil, who aren’t afraid of experimentations and, by walking round the edges of the industry, are taking over our ears.
From aggressive beats to romantic lyrics – as in Find A Way: a song about discovering love only after it’s gone (we’re all guilty of that), which you become addicted to as soon as you here it –, the trio got together in 2011 and made it clear that they don’t like to be labeled. “We like distorting sounds and playing with effects. We use technology in our favor,” states Gianni, who is Brazilian singer Tie’s brother, and has music running through his veins. “FingerFingerrr is where we’re free, where we don’t latch on to musical styles,” adds Flavio.
With a 4-song EP out – all in English (Flavio was raised in the USA) – songs and acting roles in the first web series in Brazil A Vida \o/ de Lucas Batista, soundtracks in short films and playing from large to intimate gigs, the band is set to face their next challenge: play the United States in October and November. “For these gigs, we created the BRock Collective, which are the bands FingerFingerrr, Dog Bless You, and †Pure†,” says Flavio, who also created the Bricolage Party in Sao Paulo, where bands and DJs do what they want (that’s right, they just don’t stop!). “Our mission is to push art and music forward with creative and challenging projects.” - Editora Abril

FingerFingerrr is a new rock outfit from So Paulo, Brazil, and now living in New York City. They deliver a groove orientated and overdriven, guitar sound. Vocals are fast, rhythmic, and quick-witted, contributing to each of their tracks being sonically different from each other a stylistic point the band naturally makes while writing and producing.
FingerFingerrr are rebooting and releasing their debut digital EP, titled The Lick It EP, now in a CD-format and with 2 new songs including their first ever tune in Portuguese: Quem Te Convidou? (Who Invited You?).
Flavio Juliano (vocals/guitar), Gianni Dias (vocals/bass), and Ricardo Cifas (vocals/drums) make up the power-trio.
They have amassed quite a few accolades so far, such as an international tour through NYC, a tour through Houston, Texas where they played renowned Cactus Music and KPFT NPR Radio, a major one-page feature in ELLE Brazil magazine, and even before officially releasing The Lick It EP their music was used in stylist Jean-Charles de Castelbajacs fashion show.
In 2014 they are only going to get bigger and bigger, so keep an eye out.
