Finite Fidelity

Scott and Ryan met while enrolled in the music school at the University of Texas, and quickly found common ground in bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Snarky Puppy, and Pantera.  

Scott, as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and audio production student, constantly evolved his influences and techniques to create old rock in a new way. Ryan spent his college years as a member of the UT Marching Band's Bertha Crew, and used class time to study music business, while honing his talents in voice, percussion, and piano. 

Jam sessions turned into songs, and in 2015 they hit the stage as a powerhouse duo called Finite Fidelity.  

Tim and Ian hail from Madison, WI, a strong music city in its own right.  They met as roommates, and formed a complementary bond based on similar focus and differing influences.  Ian was always writing, riffing, and writing some more.  His love of Trent Reznor and Josh Homme, combined with a degree in audio engineering, fueled an output of raw and emotive rock.  

As a lover of progressive rock, Tim sought bandmates willing to step outside familiar formats.  His experience in piano and saxophone steered his bass approach to compositional stylings, while honoring the groove of heroes such as John Entwistle, Geddy Lee, and Adam Clayton.  He made his move to Austin in 2013, and Ian followed in 2015.  

Having already joined forces with Scott and Ryan, Tim pulled Ian into the fray and cemented the spirit and passion represented in Finite Fidelity.
