"First Mondays with Finn at Honey"

Who doesn’t like to hear a story about hardworking individuals putting in time to get where they wanted to be? Minneapolis band Finn is one such example of making it happen. Band mates Bill Finn, Dan Horvath, Ben Kelly, Tim Kloster, and Kate Moore all have extensive experience with the music scene; they play regularly throughout the Twin Cities (together and individually), and a few are even music instructors, proving their capabilities through their dedication to the art.

The band kicks off “First Mondays with Finn” with its inaugural show tonight at Honey. Moore’s vocals fit the venue’s name; her warm voice completes the band’s brand of folky jazz. So if you’ve had a long Monday, stop by Honey for some inviting tunes as the perfect nightcap. 9 p.m. $5. —RO - Secrets of the City

Bio

This band was formed in 2010, and has some of the finest young musicians in Minneapolis. Their sound isn't much in any one genre but are a mix of jazz, R&B, and blues. Performances by Finn typically introduce both a handful of original tunes along with covers with a twist (an example of a cover with a twist: Aalyiah and Timbalands' "Are You That Somebody" over Freddie Hubbard's "Red Clay"). They have fun!
