When you have a tight knit group of family and friends that spend most days at each others houses, cooking and swapping vinyl, you call yourself blessed. When most of these people play in really good bands and realize they should probably be in a band together, you call yourself Finnegan.

Finnegan truly is a family band. Darin (Bass and Keys) and Taylor (Guitar and Vocals) are brothers who found themselves with a handful of songs that didn't necessarily fit into the sound of any other groups they were a part of (Literary Greats, Lazlo).

At the time, Taylor happened to be producing a record for an amazing folk/americana singer, Sara Van Buskirk. Sara (Vocals and Acoustic) showed some of the Finnegan demos to her band mate Val Young (Cello and Perc) and the recording of "What Happened to Jacqueline?" began.

Along the way Darin's wife, Ginny Lee (Flautist and Vocals) and long time friend/multi-instrumentalist Russ Willis (Drums) balanced out the lineup to make Finnegan a 3 guys and 3 girls rock n roll band.

If you like good solid song writing about the ups and downs of relationships portrayed through strong harmonies with a semi orchestral feel, you will love this band.

In the short time they have been together playing regionally, they obtained a large fan base in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Ft. Worth. Even landing a spot on the bill for Free Press Summer Fest (Houston) headlined by Weezer and Big Boi, and a slew of shows during SXSW (Austin).

Finnegan has also been lucky enough to develop a great relationship with Tinderbox Music, who represents them in the Radio and Licensing world. They are currently looking for representation in Booking and Management.
