Discography
We have released 4 EPs on our own label ruby records, the last of which was paid for by Polydor Records after we met the (then) head of A&R who loved us then left. We get regular play on radio scotland and XFM and have done several live sets for both stations. We sell our EP's via our own website and on itunes.
we have also released the wendy house first album, and the state broadcaster's first EP on ruby records

Bio
Little brother Steven had been writing songs in his bedroom forever, big sis Jolene had been playing in ceilidh bands in pubs instead of going to youthclub. finniston started 3 years ago when Jolene popped out her first baby and quit the world of TV to embrace musicianship and motherhood, and steven came back from travelling to serve excellent coffees to the fine folk in the west end. highlights as a duo included making a demo for Polydor Records in Spring 2006, playing at the Shetland Folk Festival with loads of other musicians and actually getting paid for it, and launching our music collective 'the wendy house' (first album sold out second coming soon... the most rock and roll collection of musicians around... we had 3 choices of homemade quiche in our van on the road trip to the lemon tree in aberdeen). In late 2006 we acquired Shetlander Andrew on double bass and Skye lad Jamie on drums. this led to a raft of great gigs including the Big Big World festival, supporting Hue and Cry (strangely) in front of 1000 folk, playing with people we love like Roddy Hart, a live set on XFM, and actually being asked to our first gig at King Tuts (rather than begging).
Our influences are too wide ranging to mention.... Andrew is a folky who tours the world playing his fiddle, Steven and Jolene's first gig was the Dubliners and the highlight a man from the audience getting up to play the spoons, while the jury is still out on Jamie who stole a Hue and Cry T-Shirt and wore it non ironically to our next gig.
What sets us apart from other bands? Our songs are great and catchy, we have fun, we are working hard to make opportunities for ourselves, you just have to listen and make your own minds up.
