Bio

Firecry is a four-piece rock band from Birmingham, Alabama, comprised of Andrew Brim (Guitar, lead vocals), Matt Willey (guitar, vocals), John Masingill (bass, vocals), and Shannon Kelly (drums, vocals). Their sound is characterized by inspirational, soaring vocals, powerful, rocket-powered guitar riffs, backed by a driving rhythm section. Their melodically driven, hook-laden songs have quickly attracted a very enthusiastic audience, and their live shows are simply described as “incredibly fun.”

Each member of Firecry is loaded with musical experience. Shannon has approximately 20 years of live drum work and has had sponsorship with SilverFox Percussion and Saluda Cymbals. He has had the opportunity to show off his chops in front of 10,000 people at City Stages Music Festival in Birmingham, Alabama. Andrew and John have over 10 years of experience playing with regional bands and solo acoustic gigging. Matt has over 15 years of guitar work playing with regional rock and hip hop bands. He has played before 10,000 at the University of Florida’s Midnight Madness, opened for national recording artists Buck Cherry and Presence, and has been fortunate enough to record with George Harris, who also works with Cheap Trick, Smashmouth, and ESPN among others. Matt received formal training from Richy Stano, who previously instructed at Hollywood’s Guitar Institute of Technology, and currently tours with Amy Dalley and Mindwalk, opening for artists such as Toby Keith and Bela Fleck.

Firecry strives to make each show a memorable occasion. Their collective experience and broad musical background allow them to entertain individuals of all ages and . . . well . . . most . . . musical tastes. Their set list ranges from classic rock with songs from AC/DC, to an 80’s party theme with Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, and Michael Jackson, to the 90’s era of Pearl Jam and Offspring, and lastly the modern era including Shinedown, Korn, and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Of course the set wouldn’t be complete without some country classics like Garth Brooks and Hank Williams Jr. And while they endeavor to show off their musical ability, make no mistake about it, their goal can be summed up in one word: ROCK!!!!

Firecry is playing venues across the southeast and establishing themselves as a potent live act. No one can be prepared for the all-out rock n' roll experience that is a Firecry show. Just see them live. Once they take the stage, the guys become everyone's favorites. With a diverse songlist that keeps the crowd involved, the connection they share with their fans is undeniable.

FireCry. It's not just music. It's a great time and one helluva rock n' roll show.
