Bio
Heather Joy Workman hails from San Diego, CA, but has called Atlanta home since she was 8 years old. She cut her teeth on singing, starting in choral groups at age 5 and continuing through her teens, where she also picked up violin, cello, piano, and flute. Her professional singing career started in an acoustic duo, and since has gained further experience performing in a variety of bands and genres including swing/big band, rock, country, and Americana. She feels right at home in Firefly where she is able to focus on vocals and showcase songwriting in intimate settings.
Rob DeFriese is a native of Phoenix, AZ but now lives in Atlanta, GA. He's been singing and hamming it up all his life, but got bit by the music bug in 4th grade when he got a trumpet for Christmas. He's been a musician ever since. In high school & college he's been in choirs, chamber groups, marching bands, and even drama. He's spent the most time lead-crooning & thumping bass with an alternative-rock trio called Ant Farm, but most recently has been in coffee shops singing and playing acoustic guitar, which has brought him to FIREFLY where he loves his & Heather's vocal blend and "acoustic" setting diversity.
