Fire Play

Coming together from different musical backgrounds, Rob, Sari, Jay, Chris and Tyger are making their mark on the NYC music scene. Sari from the jazz world, Jay from an orchestral background, Danny with classical piano training, Tyger with a funk background on bass and classical training on piano, and Rob from the classic rock sphere. Put them all together and you get an irresistible and unstoppable fusion of musical colors.

Fire Play's music is indeed without boundaries, which is reflected in the band's influences. From Van Halen to the Beatles, from Neal Young to Muse, from Black Sabbath to Yes, and more. The band draws from all these influences, and creates songs spanning a very wide range of sounds: some songs built with driving rhythms, power chords and scorching guitar runs, others with lilting melodies and achingly sensitive lyrics. Fire Play couples this diversity with the discipline requiring of themselves that every song in the repertoire be well crafted, filled with hooks and harmonies.
