Bio
19 years old as of 2014, of mixed Polish and
Scandinavian origin, he’s studying the classical
guitar at the exclusive School Of Talents in Poznan.
Despite his age, his prowess as a composer,
arranger, singer and guitarist is exceptional.
Fans and journalists without hesitation place his
name among such artists as Bon Iver, Sigur Ros,
Ben Howard, or even Arvo Pärt and Olafur Arnalds.
Fismoll’s first single “Let’s Play Birds” easily made
its way to the main channel of the Polish Radio,
where it’s being cherished by its leading DJs.
His stage nickname Fismoll dates back to the
artist’s childhood when he was constantly humming
something to himself, and his father, a professional
violin player, noticed that all the hummed melodies
were in the key of fis - moll. When the artist grew up,
he decided to relate to that, to the purest and the
most natural music of his soul.
Fismoll’s much anticipated debut album “At Glade”
(released on June 18th, 2013) is signed by
a remarkable new independent Polish label NEXTPOP.
The album was mastered by one of the best
mastering engineers in the world - London-based
Mandy Parnell. Her sonic signature can be heard
on records of Bjork, Sigur Ros, Depeche Mode,
Roisin Murphy, Feist, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Little
Dragon, Mum, Jose Gonzales, Matthew Herbert,
Royksopp, Emiliana Torrini, The White Stripes,
Paul McCartney, Snoop Dogg, and many others.
His debut album received huge recognition among
critics and fans, which resulted in performances at
the most important music events such as Open’er
Festival and Slot Art Festival.
Right after finishing his autumn tour in 2013, which
gathered hundreds of his fans, Fismoll performed
during European Music Fairs organized by
Co Jest Grane Magazine.
‘At Glade’ has been noticed and featured as one
of the top ten best records in the poll organized
by the biggest and the most important Polish magazine.
It has also been nominated to Fryderyk, the most
important award of the Polish music industry,
as the Best Debut.
