"One of the hardest working bands in the Chicago-land area."
- Vision Entertainment, Vision Entertainment (Aug 30, 2012)

"Fist to the Sky shows so much growth and potential as a band. I was saddened that there were only two songs to listen to. These guys definitely have a handle on what it means to be a heavy metal rock band. Their edginess is unique and impressive."
- Breanna Keller, Vents Magazine (Apr 16, 2012)

"As a long time musician I want to honestly say that this was the best original live show Ive seen in a club since 1979."
- Matt DePasqua, Fist to the Sky. 1st Place Round 2. Battle of the Effn Rock (Mar 19, 2012)

"The solo in Down Into Hell is so tough, it could turn Rob Halford straight. It blew me away. I’m not making direct comparisons here, but that wasn’t some radio rock cut it and forget it solo, and the backing riff to match was a tasty treat."
- Bubbs Harris, Indie Music Review (Jan 22, 2012)

"I get the impression these guys do what they do the way they do it because that is what they enjoy. Hang on to that; don’t let anybody force you into a product mold."
- Rock Music Critic, Rock Music Critic (Jan 26, 2012)

"Looking for an immense Powerhouse Metal/Rock band? Fist to the Sky has that feeling. The guitar playing is so exceptional. Down Into Hell is out right one of my favorite songs. The fast vocals/screams, the riffs in the song, the hard drumming beats, and the solos. They are just incredible. I'm glad these guys are from the Chicago area, I will be checking them out soon."
- Don, Rhythm Reviews (Mar 01, 2012)

"All of the hard rock you can handle, and one of the best shows you will see all year. The best the Chicago Rock Scene has to offer!"
- Skippy (sound tech/booking agent), The Nite Light Cafe (Apr 04, 2011)

"Top 5 nominee in the 2010 Chicago SuburbanNites Magazine for Best Alternative band, Best Original, and Best Heavy Rock."
- Nite Life Magazine (Mar 23, 2011)

"FTTS is a young group of rockers with fire in their eyes. They are a heavy rock band with somewhat of an alternative twist to their sound."
- Mario Salazar, www.ChicagosRock.com

"I have always heard good things about FTTS and let's be honest, they are very good once I took a listen to their music."
- Joey DeMarco, United Talent Coordinators(Nov 30, 2010)

"I am impressed, you guys are really good. Id like to work something out so we can get you back here at Real Time Sports on another night."
- Manager, Real Time Sports(Dec 03, 2010)

"Please get in contact with me soon. I was very impressed with your performance and you need to play here again, soon!"

Windy City rockers FIST TO THE SKY are a four piece melodic metal band. They pride themselves on their ability to fuse great melodies into their heavy sound. The young quartet formed in the fall of 2008. Lead vocals are fronted by Mickey Murder on bass and Flipp on lead guitar. Rhythm guitarist Hollywood and drummer JD handle the backing vocals. The band was founded by brothers Flipp, Mick and cousin Hollywood.

“Nothing to lose, something to prove, it’s the fuel to the fire that is this band.” says Flipp.

Back in 2009 the band was focused on writing material for their nine song self-recorded album "Light the World Up.” It was released in May of 2010 and was recorded with a previous drummer. The release would later prove to be a success for FTTS, going on to independently sell over one thousand copies and counting.

FIST TO THE SKY have become known to play at some of the best venues in the Chicago-land area including The House of Blues- Chicago, The Elbo Room, Lakeshore Theater, Penny Road Pub, Shark City, and numerous local bars, clubs and venues around the city and suburbs. They have opened for national acts such as 12 Stones, Cavo, The Veer Union, Blameshift and Rains with other well known bands including Heart-Set Self-Destruct, Underride and 3 Pill Morning. FIST TO THE SKY have taken 1st place in four out of six “Battle of the Band” competitions within the Chicago area in recent years.

Talent, dedication and desire have this band creating a buzz. They currently hold an endorsement with Beaver Bottoms. The band has also caught the attention of Chicago’s Rock Magazine editor Mario Salazar.

In the summer of 2011 the band set out to find a drummer. They found their perfect match in the addition of JD. Just months later, on December 6, 2011 the band released a two song single disc titled "Down Into Hell – Single." The disc and mp3 downloads can be purchased at a FTTS show, on iTunes, AmazonMP3, CDBaby, and all other major digital retailers. The "Down Into Hell - Single" was recorded at Mercenary Digital Studios in Zion, IL with mixer and producer Scott Creekmore (Dirge Within).

In April 2012, the band was awarded “Best Original Band” by SuburbaNites Magazine for the year 2011. Currently the band is on a long run of shows promoting the "Down Into Hell-Single," while writing new material for an upcoming release.
