The architect to the beautifully envisioned, Sam Fitzpatrick’s words are sincere and affecting. Entwining intricate acoustic guitar with an honest, provocative voice, his music shifts and shimmers exacting a rare brilliance. Self produced in a 16th century beast house in the Black Mountains of South Wales, his debut ‘Patchwork’ soars, descends and arises enlightened with timeless songs of hope, loss and awakening. Drawing from the whispered screaming of Damien Rice, the instrumental excellence of John Butler and the open, free-flowing artistry of Nick Drake, Fitz’s breath-taking craft astounds and silences.
