We Are Five Floors Above, hailing from the Texas Panhandle. (Amarillo/Lubbock). All natives of the area, and long time musicians, we happened to meet at West Texas A&M University, and started making music together immediately. Our name is derived from the moment and place we met - the fifth floor balcony of a dormitory, at an impromptu jam session. Since our inception Fall of 2009, we've quickly created a healthy buzz in the area - from Local Radio interviews to gigs at bars, colleges, Hastings, coffee shops, and malls. With many mellow, acoustically driven songs, to upbeat rock, we incorporate tastes of blues, pop, southern, and alternative into our writing style. With Catchy music, from-the-heart lyrics, and an emotionally driven, passionate performance, we believe that we stand out among the crowd of bands.
