It was great to see longtime Macomb County native and Notre Dame High School graduate Michael Romeo blasting away on guitar again.
Romeo, a driving force behind the 1980s-'90s local bands DC Drive and Adrenalin, left town about two years ago to work in Florida. Now he's back and hooked up with classic rockers Five Second Fuze.
"These are great guys and it feels good to be back onstage," said Romeo, after performing Monday on a muggy afternoon on the Real Detroit stage.
Claude Lutz of Roseville, the band's singer, said Romeo "fit right in" as the group was searching for a player.
"It's very hard to find exactly the right kind of player who connects with everyone," he said. "Mike was exactly what we were looking for."

Our music covers a wide variety of rock songs over the last 4 decades. We have been playing together for years and just added a rocking new guitarist. The cover songs we have chosen to play set us apart too. We play great rock songs that fit us well as well as the people that see us. This combination creates an awesome experience with something for everyone. Dancing included.
