Five Talents More

BandRockChristian

A sound comparable to Emery, but with a more hardcore edge, and with more breakdowns. We have been said to be..."Like everybody's favorite band, but with breakdowns." However, we also have songs like Requiem, that are so beautiful and powerful they have even been known to make grown men tear up.

Biography

5 Talents More (5TM) is “Like everybody’s favorite band, but with breakdowns,” claims Professional Record Producer Geoff Rockwell (Memphis May Fire, Trustkill Records; Forever the Sickest Kids, Universal Records). Rockwell explains that they have the sound and feel of bands such as Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, or Emery, but with heavier breakdowns. 5TM recorded their full-length, Public Displays of Affliction, with Rockwell, and will be releasing the CD December 4th, and hopes to have the single, “Requiem” on the music charts in January.

With touring experiences that stretch from Texas to Illinois to Georgia, 5TM is a well-seasoned touring band. 5TM has shared the stage with many well-known acts such as: Underoath, Emery, As Cities Burn, Family Force Five, and Greeley Estates, to name a few. The band has played at venues ranging from intimate club settings to large music festivals such as Shoutfest and Cornerstone.

Playing on a stage together for the past 4 years, 5TM’s live show has matured into what has often been described as one of the most energetic live shows people have ever experienced. 5TM’s live show has been compared to Blessthefall, Emery and Chiodos. Guitarist Eric Erlandson explains, “We have been watching bands in Dallas like In Fair Verona, Memphis May Fire, Oh, Sleeper and countless others play for the past few years, and that is the type of captivating live show we have always strived for.”

Party Time

Party Time
I’m trying hard to understand this
I’m trying hard to find you so
There’s something deep inside of you, so just let yourself go
I know that you’re not like this
I know that you’re not trying to
Hold onto nothing real and run from the truth in front of you

Why do you run and hide (With nowhere to go), let yourself go
What did you feel inside (Cause nobody knows), let yourself go

I’m trying hard to see this
I’m trying hard to let you know
There’s something deep inside of you, so just let yourself go
I know that I’m not like that
I know that I’m not trying to
Hold onto things of this world
If I did I’d see past you

I can feel you moving in me, forcefully advance your glory
This is something bigger than me, so I pray it’s you that they see
I can’t fight it anymore

Hide and seek fails, where you going?
Running won’t prevail
Why do you run, misplaced and blank-faced

Requiem

Written By: Five Talents More

I couldn’t find you if I wanted to sit and talk with you awhile
I can’t hear you or the words you wrote
To tell us you’re not doing fine
What was so wrong that you couldn’t take the time to ease your mind

Would you do it over again? Would you second guess, my friend?
Would you be older, if you had thought it over?
Should you have taken a second look,
And realized the life that you mistook?
What were you feeling? Did you lose your meaning?

I couldn’t find you if I wanted to sit and talk with you awhile
I can’t hear you or the words you cried
When you thought no one was around
What was so wrong that you couldn’t take the time to ease your mind

And I know that you’re where you’ve chosen to be
But I don’t know if you’re seeing what you want to see

Are you sorry? Are you still lonely?
Did you hear “I don’t know you,” or “Welcome home, my child”?
I would have listened, but now I’m missing you
Do you feel regret, or are you broken hearted like me?

To You Alone

Written By: Five Talents More

I can't fight this, I can feel this rising
I've seen what you can do, so it's not surprising
Everything inside me, cries out, wants to be
In your presence kneeling at your feet
It's about you, and I want to
Be with you no matter what you take me through
Can you feel this? Can you hear this?
It sounds like something that I don't want to miss

Praises to You alone, for me You left Your home
But still it's not about me or what I do, it's all about You

Can't take this, can't fake this
If this wasn't real you could see straight through this
Everything I am knows that I can't
Compete with who you are, King of Kings, the Great I Am
It's about you, and I want to
Be with you no matter what you take me through
Can you feel this? Can you hear this?
It sounds like something that I don't want to miss

I bow down at your feet, giving you all of me

My Apologies

Written By: Five Talents More

I can’t believe to say that I’m sorry
When I know it will happen again
I can’t seem to look you in the eye
Even when you call me your best friend
I can’t believe I think that my sorries
Will lead me to a better place
So I’m left with this weird feeling
Why should I even run the race

I’m so sorry that my apologies will never be enough for you
I’m so sorry that my efforts fall short of what you want from me
Sincerest, apologies, cause I’m taking this so seriously
I’m not worthy of your love
I can’t hide who I am, so this is me

So I sit here in my silence, still I no there’s no defense.
Can’t seem to think of a way, I can somehow get past my offense
What hope do I have in me, when I have nothing left to give
Can I hope in spite of me…can you be why I live
What’s hope without the love that you give?
Oh God, please be why.

My disgrace is covered, covered by your love
I’m guilty, yet covered, covered by your love
