The debut track, 'The World Is Ours' from Los Angeles dance trio FIXYN surfaced in our inbox early last month and immediately made a lasting impression. Full of lush penetrating synths, an instantly recognisable groove, cleverly constructed vocals, a killer sense of timing and an inexorably good build up, it's already among the highlights of early 2011. Look out for an EP to be released soon and there are also some remixes of the track doing the rounds at present. While their name may say otherwise, FIXYN is no made up story. Comprised of Tal Meltzer, Roy Paz and Phil Patterson, this trio of Orange County musicians brings heavy beats and entrancing melodies to the American capital of new-age dance music: Southern California. By meshing each of their unique styles as both producers and performers, FIXYN boasts an eclectic sound driven by each member's passion for great electronic music. Tal, Roy and Phil--each born as a musician--gained their love for the EDM scene when they moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2008. They have now banded together their talents to create FIXYN and share great, original dance music with the world.
