Fjern Varme is the sound world of André Castro and Helga Rose, who began their musical journey the night they met in Copenhagen, on new years eve 2008.
André is from Lisbon, studied piano at a young age and later, for well over a decade, became an active club dj eventually performing at venues in Lisbon, Los Angeles and Mexico City. Since 2008, he has focused on composing and producing music.
Helga is from Copenhagen, started studying piano and singing from the age of 6 and has been lyric writing, composing music and singing on a regular basis for the last 6 years.
Fjern Varme was born in 2012.
Exploring soundscapes, adopting a slow paced but musically complex feel: Fjern Varme is all about songs that tell you a story and drive you emotionally.
Both at the level of composition and sonics Fjern Varme’s richness comes from the intrinsic differences in musical training and background, of which the constant articulation of both elements of electronic and acoustic nature is an example. Fjern Varme is strongly influenced by Trip Hop, Funk, Soul and RnB.
