"Meet Flakjakt"

I don’t know anything about Flakjakt except that their song ‘Cascades’ is the best song i have heard all year.

I found Flakjakt by thier new music video for Cascades, which was shot all on a Iphone 4, and is possibly also the best music video of the year too.

They are going to be big.

I just wish i knew more about them.

For now here is the music video and a link to their myspace page. - Thy Con Man

"First Crop of Music Videos Filmed on iPhone 4 Sound In"

A couple of music videos have appeared online, both claiming to be the first-ever music video filmed with an iPhone 4. The Anix may've got in there first, on Monday, but Flakjakt's is a much better watch (and listen). - Gizmodo

"FLAKJAKT CASCADES iPhone 4 Music Video"

Wow. Not only is this impressive becuase of how great the video turned out but because Flakjakt has a really great sound. Like a more simplistic Andrew Bird mixed with Bibio and that guy’s voice who sings for Cold War Kids. And can you believe this guy is unsigned? Support him and check out his new album which I think is now on iTunes.

Also if you head to his Myspace listen to “Dawning Days”. It’s another winner. I might like it even more. Maybe because I’ve been into dreamy music lately. - Catchy As A Cactus

"VIDEO: FLAKJAKT: CASCADES"

Both videos that were posted on the Gizmodo blog post looked good quality wise but the one that really caught my attention was the above video from Vancouver musician flakjakt. I know just about fuck all about this band and I'm assuming it's the just the one guy. But he filmed the music video for his song "Cascades" on the iPhone 4. While it looks like it had some heavy editing done the video looks pretty amazing considering it was filmed entirely on a smart phone. Not to mention the fact that the song is pretty amazing. - Electric Mustache

Bio

What started as a weekly music exchange has grown into a body of work that's developed it's own sound. Since the trio has been working on music together, they haven't lived in the same city; members have been between Vancouver and Victoria. Performances have been few and far between over the two years of online collaboration. This summer marks a new focus developing new material of the coming months.
