Flamenguitos del Norte

We are Flamenguitos del Norte, a Toronto collective of musicians, singers and dancers dedicated to the art of Flamenco. Though we’re far from Spain, we embrace the fire and cheekiness that encapsulates the music and dance from the streets of Jerez, Sevilla and Cadiz, and we revel in bringing that spontaneity and joy to the streets, bars, parks and laneways of the city of Toronto. We love flamenco, and want to live it, with whoever is eager to create the experience with us. We’re ready to sing, dance and play on a rooftop, in a park, in a sweaty bar packed with dancing gypsies, given half a week’s notice, and for the pure elation it brings us and our audiences.

We are versatile which makes us well-suited for any venue or event, from busking in street festivals, to performing in large theatres. We can spontaneously improvise at informal fiestas, and have set pieces and full-length shows for formal presentations in a theatre setting. Our group can vary in size from 2 to more than 10 performers.
