History to present day
Flame of Fervour have played festivals throughout the UK including Fire Gathering Festival,
Vale Festivaland Big Green Gathering Benefit Gig along with venues such as
The Jam House,The Yardbird, The Rainbow and The Hare & Hounds to name a few.
Vocalist/guitarist Mark Newbold and Chilean percussionist/guitarist Paulo Riddle
formed the band in Birmingham,both are active live musicians and have performed
at various events and festivals throughout the UK with other projects.
They began experimenting with material together in 2006 and through a journey of self-expression and
improvisation the music grew into something great.
In late 2009 the band recorded their debut EP, A Darker Shade of Light. Then in 2010 the band took time
off, while one half traveled Europe for 12 months, the other continued working on various musical projects.
Coming back together in 2011, they are currently in the process of self-recording a concept album
in collaborationwith Polish artist Krystian Garstkowiak.
The end result will be a multimedia art piece to be performed live and released.
This project has now been put on hold following a 6-month set back for the group,
when Mark badly broke hiswrist in May 2011.
With the wrist now healed the band are currently rehearsing and writing new material and have returned to the live
scene. Flame of Fervour and Krystian are also working on animated projections for use in future live performances.
Flame of Fervour are back and onto something, so come along for the ride
