Bio

Flavio Enchanted Flutes
Flavio Martinez is a professional musician who plays traditional flutes from South-America. He got a BA in Music Education in the Universidad of Guadalajara in Mexico; at that time he listened to these beautiful flutes and became “enchanted” by the exotic and haunting sounds. “Is amazing how you can create beautiful music with such simple reed pipes,” he said, and on his performances he uses a wide variety of flutes such as: quena, quenacho, panpipe flute, sikus, sanka, malta, ika, ocarina, rondador, etc. The songs he plays range from the sooth and ease sounds to the joyful and festive ones. His repertoire includes not only Andean music but all Latin Pop and International music suitable for all types of events.
Flavio is currently part of the teaching Faculty of an Elementary School in Las Vegas NV and performs around the Southwest mainly in concerts and festivals and he has more than 25 years of performing experience.
