Bio

from Press Kit '...‘I have said several times over the past six months or so that I think Flawless Escape is gonna blow up. Big. They are easily the most professional rock & roll band within the 979. Great soulful modern hard rock/metal songs performed with integrity, spirit and attitude. [The band] looks great, has an awesome stage presence, and a dedicated following. Flawless Escape is the total package… Flawless Escape makes commercial alternative rock...[I think] FE is the band most likely to get out of [College Station] courtesy of a major label record contract‘

The spring of 2009 was spent promoting ‘Elevation Above Creation’ through further regional touring and several in-store appearances and acoustic performances at various Hot Topic stores around Texas and preparations for a summer tour supporting the album directed at West Coast markets. The band appeared at several local festivals and events, normally being named headliner. Flawless Escape was also picked up as main support for the Flyleaf (www.flyleafmusic.com) ’09 Tour, San Antonio’s Slinging Ink Tattoo Expo (featuring Flyleaf) as well as Siesta Fest at Hemisfair Park with Naughty by Nature (www.naughtybynature.com). The Elevation Summer Tour combined the band’s earlier acoustic successes at Hot Topic with it’s rowdy club routines, performing at venues and shopping malls in 7 states, from Texas to California and back via the south and mid-west. The tour also featured the band’s first out of state radio appearance; performing and interviewing live in Tempe, Arizona courtesy of KWSS 106.7. Ajae and Scott talked music, politics, and current events with Kevin Gassman, Tracy McCormick, guest host Rev. Bob Levy (Howard Stern Show). After another stint with Flyleaf through South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas City, the band had nearly sold out of its first batch of ‘Elevation Above Creation’ (nearly 1000 copies at shows in just 3 months!). EAC was also the band’s first exposure to digital sales, distributed by CD BABY to all major online markets (iTunes, Amazon, etc). As many or more single and album sales have been recorded digitally as at shows and out of backpacks.

Throughout the heavy touring of 2009, the band continued to write new music and refine its sound and decided to use the fall of 2009 to take stock of what it had accomplished and begin production on the follow up effort to ‘Elevation Above Creation,’ a record that gave the band a product to sell, but missed the mark somewhat on the quality of the band’s live performance and more refined sound and vision. Production has been started on the new album and has been given the working title of ‘Illumination.’ The Album is due out in Early 2010 and will be produced/engineered again by guitarist Scott Willson and William Harrison and is slated to be mixed by CJ Erickson (U2, Phish, Blue October, matchbox twenty, Hanson, Jack's Mannequin, The Rocket Summer, Pompeii, Fastball, Hoobastank, LIVE, John Popper, Incubus, Alien Ant Farm). The album is hotly anticipated and will be shopped to several major and independent record labels around the world. An ensuing national tour, radio campaign, and multi-level marketing scheme are all in developmental stages for a successful release. The band has also garnered new endorsements from pro-touring level companies such as Gibson guitars (www.gibson.com) and Shine drums (www.shinedrums.com).'
