"The Roaming Festival Writer - Head Jamz"

...Saturday started out a bit rough as it normally would at a festival, but Flea Market Hustlers was a perfect fix. I wasn’t the only festival goer that thought Flea Market Hustlers could have played even later in the day as they were fantastic. They stuck around all weekend as fans had the constant party going late night with some live tunes under the stars and a sweet disco ball hanging from a tree. I never made it over to their late night jams, but heard much about it and will make a point to hit it up next year. They play some unexpected bluegrass covers of songs I wouldn’t have imagined done that way and it was great. - Bryan Flannagan, The Roaming Festival Writer

"Jammin' at Hippie Jack's"

...and the Pickin’ Stage where the host band, The Flea Market Hustlers, lead the all night, every night open to everyone "last man standing" jam. The Hustlers bring it all, complete with chicken bingo, trailer park lighting and a disco ball reflecting off the all night bonfire burning brightly in front of Hustler Haven. I want to take this opportunity to tell the Hustlers how much we appreciate them, they are our home town band, with uptown qualities, they play great music all night and still make their set time, on time. They always bring real pretty women with them and John has cool hair. - Jack Stoddart, Jammin' at Hippie Jack's

"Murfreesboro Pulse"

Even if country or bluegrass is not your usual cup of tea, this collection is worth checking out for the highly enjoyable take on Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls.” Whether consciously deciding to save this pure delight for last was intentional or not, Flea Market Hustlers deserve a big “two thumbs up” for choosing to include this number. Their excellent reworking and masterful delivery of this familiar rock song was nothing short of genius. - Eric Allen, Murfreesboro Pulse

Bio

The Flea Market Hustlers bring it... every time. Sometimes it's an infectious groove with a deep pocket, other times it's a manic bluegrass meditation on spirituality and beer, but all of the time it's a unique celebration.

The Hustlers are a collection of Nashville area musicians and friends who came together as a side project to have fun playing bluegrass. With a weekly gig at the famous Millers Grocery, the Hustlers honed their skills and cultivated their unique approach to bluegrass. As the band continued to evolve, more influences from the members outside interests began to blend into the music. Soon the Hustlers took their musical menagerie of drums, electric guitars, and acoustic instruments to the local and regional club scene where they continue to play to enthusiastic crowds.

Festivals have become the favorite venue for the Hustlers and their fans alike. As a group of wily musicians and pranksters who love to play, the Hustlers enjoy taking advantage of having a full weekend to perform their energetic original stage show and pick acoustically all night long at their campsite. Jammin' at Hippie Jack's, a nationally syndicated PBS television show and americana music festival, has gone as far as building a stage at the Hustlers' campsite where the band's late-night open jamboree has become a highlight of the festival. The Head Jamz music festival took advantage of the Hustlers' propensity for jamming all night and gave them the last set of the evening where the Hustlers played to a buoyant crowd until dawn.

The Flea Market Hustlers first recording "Free Demo For Sale" has received only favorable reviews and national airplay. The highly anticipated sophomore effort from the band "Pure Good Luck" is set for release in early 2012 and will feature their most popular original material. This promising project along with the band's growing momentum has inspired the Hustlers to dedicate themselves fully to the band as their primary endeavor this new year.

Expect to be Hustled soon, as the band plans to bring it to you... and your mama!
