Flesh & Blood: New York & New Jersey's BEST Sounding Poison Tribute Band

Brothers BOOZE and FRET grew up listening to Poison and have, since the ages of about 4 and 8, been spreading the band’s bible of sin and turning others on to something to believe in. So for the two of them to create ‘Flesh & Blood: A Tribute to Poison’ comes as no surprise to their peers.

When Fret was in third grade (During the era of ‘Native Tongue’) the brothers took part in a talent show where they dressed up and lip-synched to Poison’s “Unskinny Bop” as well as their version of the Loggins/Messina hit “Your Mama Don’t Dance.” Without going into detail, their performance of “Unskinny Bop”, which included some mimicking of Bret Michaels’ stage moves, led to the BANNING of the young Flesh & Blood members’ performance on Staten Island’s Public Access…it was a sign of things to come, and a true welcome into the world that is Rock N’ Roll…a world that is Poison.

A life full of Rock N’ Roll from a young age indeed, that Summer the boys went to their first ever live concert with their regretful father…that show was Poison, Damn Yankees and Firehouse on the Native Tongue Tour of 1993. Now they had seen it all. From the opening curtain antics fully equipped with laser display; to the pyro, confetti, and stream of mind-blowing music…they knew they wanted to forever play live music. And the following year they made their return to Fret’s 4th grade talent show where they performed the lesser commercial “Life Loves A Tragedy” off the ‘Flesh & Blood’ album. However this time Fret really sung and Booze really played guitar. Who knew that today they would be doing that all over again?

Only now they choose to not focus as much on looking like Poison, and focus much more on sounding like them, and putting on an unforgettable live show full of energy and all of the great music Poison fans have grown to love over the years. Joined by the humping bass lines of BOOBY DALL and steady drumming of STIKKI ROCKETT, ‘FLESH & BLOOD’ pay homage to their heroes by trying to bring out the real raw emotion and integrity of Poison’s music, rather than dwell on the glammer and fashion that so repeatedly overshadows the true meaning behind this Rock N’ Roll Band.
