Bio

One thing about Hip Hop Music is that there is no mistaking a gifted artist when you hear one. Flex is not only naturally gifted but is, quite possibly, the MC that will raise the bar for all Hip Hop artists in Canada.

Born in London, Flex’s passion for Hip Hop music was realized when he entered a contest for creating the anthem for his public school. Within half an hour, Flex stood before his peers, teachers and administrative faculty to perform what he had just written. Flex won the competition using the anthem he had created, an anthem which is still used today; a testament to his ability to create classic material.

Throughout the 80s and 90s Flex’s creative confidence grew as he won more and more battles and talent shows. These achievements ultimately led to Flex opening for artists such as Redman, Will Smith, Dream Warriors, Run DMC, Maestro Fresh Wes, Ice-T, and many other established Hip Hop artists from Canada and the U.S.

It was during this period in time that Flex became established as a relentless MC. freestyling became the weapon of choice Flex would use to damage his opponents egos with no remorse.

Having learned from his experiences in life, both positive and negative, Flex has now created one of Canada’s most heartfelt and gritty Hip Hop albums “FLEX”. Flex’s articulate words, thoughts, and cadence are best heard on songs like “Can’t Call It, “The Money,” and “Devil’s Advocate.”

Flex’s gift lies in his ability to make listeners visualize the imagery he expresses. Although many of his songs contain accounts of harsh reality this is simply a manner of therapy for Flex as it is for many other recording artists who have had difficult life experiences. Flex’s sole desire is to bring back the balance to Hip Hop.

So finally after over a decade of writing, performing, freestyling, and producing for other recording artists, he is introducing his self-titled, ground breaking, “critically” acclaimed album to a global audience.

Recognize the skills Flex brings on his upcoming solo LP. It is guaranteed to return the balance of talent and execution that is so evidently absent in Hip Hop.
