Bio

Pressure burst pipes; the right amount applied, who surfaces? FLI.g.5; the artist, diamond in the rough, color, cut, clarity. Reining from the "Little City with Big Dreams" Orange TX. Early 90's, FLI.g.5 (formally versatile) noticed his style and vocabulary were consistent attributes to appreciated. From karaoke machines, gray Maxell tapes, to singing and rapping throughout the hallways of school, hip-hop allowed him to channel his abilities. Late 90's, His father approach him, "Let's go." This was uncommon because his father work long hours to provide for the family. Instead of going fishing on the Gulf Coast; his father guided him to A & S Music, purchased a mixer, mic, filter, and expressed "I believe in you, believe in yourself, now pursue your dream." With the support of family, determination, and a necessity to create music, FLI.g.5 began recording and pressing cd's in his hometown.

He designed a makeshift booth (known as the lab) in his room and later a building was constructed by his father on Burton St. From that point, he envisioned music as a platform of potential and founded the indie label Undisputed Records. Established in the 409-Golden Triangle (Orange, Beaumont, Port Arthur), recording local talent, many neighborhood Rap/R&B groups began an underground hip-hop movement throughout the city. Long nights mixing and working with instrumentals, Fli.g.5, and (artist) Taylormade generated the first underground album, "Title Fight."

Driven to leave “feel good" impressions in minds, enhanced with undisputed swagger, the hip-hop/rap artist FlI.g.5 delivers a definitive sound. His music embraces the heart beat of the people, for the people, with a "Go Hard" ambition, and "Fresh up out the kitchen, Go Getta” attitude. Blend in authentic hustle with the grind, and produce a lyrical recipe which allows audiences to experience music. He has an appreciation for artists such as: UGK, Slim Thug, SUC, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, TI, Lil Wayne, among many other MCs to name a few, have inspired the Texas native to inspire others. His underground album titled, "R.A.W" (Ride & Watch), includes tracks such as "STAY FLI, Early, and Studio 24/7(R.A.W)." His flow reintroduces deep roots of southern hip-hop and navigates the interstates across the map. Performing on local television shows "In the Spotlight," spins on the local radio station "Magic 102.5," concerts, "Slim Thug," venues, "Zachary Breaux Jazz Fest," and "The Best Rappers in Texas- MidTown Lounge in Houston,Tx, FLI.g.5 "refuses to allow negativity to set road blocks in the lanes of his success. With time things change, the music lives on."
