Remixer/Producer/Musician Allan Heaggans aka FLOMASTA has spent his life pursuing his love of music. Flomasta has evolved from playing 1st chair baritone in his junior high band to becoming a top rated REMIXER in the Florida club scene. His eclectic style is instantly recognizable by his colleagues and many fans.
Born in Cleveland Ohio, Flomasta grew up in a very demanding home environment. When he decided to join the school band he hid the fact from his parents, spending his lunch hours in the band room practicing. This dedication resulted in a 2nd place award in his school county competitions. At the time of this event in his life, Allan had moved from 3rd to 1st chair in only 6 months. Through this early experience Flomasta discovered a love of music that would follow him for the rest of his life.
Following the families move to North Carolina at the beginning of high school, Flomasta laid down his baritone and pursued other interests. After graduation, he joined a traveling sales team (AUSTIN DIVERSIFIED PRODUCTS). Where he met America one door at a time (little did he know this would make him the entertainer he is today).
After 10 years, success in the sales profession was wonderful financially but left a hole in his heart for his first love, Music. Flomasta decided to make a change, walked away from his success, moved to Tampa and discovered the joy of Hi Energy Dance music. Settling on making his way as a DJ, he began studying the best that were spinning on the Central Florida club circuit. Then…he created his own style, only using CD'S. THIS IS TRULY TO BE SEEN.
Flomasta started spinning in public (late 1999) with DJ SANTANA and DJ FBI at Sally’s After-Hours bottle club. He was offered the resident DJ position and remained there until the club closed its doors. Over the years, Flomasta has performed at such places as The Coliseum(2001), Twilight/ LOTUS now Honey Pot(2002), Tahiti Joes(2003), PLUSH(2004), JACKSON'S BISTRO (Harbour Island-2005-2006), the Historic Parthenon Bldg (Club UnderGround-2007), Club Havana(2008), Club Wildfish(2009)..
Flomasta wants to create a show that is unlike the “norm”. He says, “A DJ’s job is to lead the party, not to hide in a booth”. Hence, Flomasta has a commanding presence as an emcee as well as a strong mixologist. Flomasta's travels will not be complete until he is internationally known.
