Bio

Aged 14-18, The Floodliners first met at a songwriting course at Goldsmiths Uni in early 2010 - from disparate musical backgrounds they soon started to gel, writing, performing and recording. Their first gig was in June 2010 at Goldsmiths Student Union.

The band then became a permanent item and taken on by se13records, a new South East London production company who had been involved in the Goldsmiths sessions and were digging their musical brew....

And that brew is....a lot of punky guitar, two finger power chords with an energy only a 15 yr old high on life can give you, you’ve got some dirty b-lines, either reminiscent of early 80s New York disco or fuzzed to the max, ....you’ve got some of the tastiest teenage drumming too - massive beats drawing on urban, metal and even free jazz grooves and melding them all into a unique flavour designed to make you move......and then there’s the mind melding synth - three note squarewave tone poems squiggling unforgettable melodies right into your brain.....last but not least -  the vocals - which power away like Amazonian torch singers spitting out melodies just like proper rockers...

And they have no problem delivering live - they’ve spent most of 2011 playing underage gigs (or sneaking into bars that will have them), tightening it up and up, recording demos and filming videos....catch them live and you’ll get a frisson of the Runaways girl glam dream, the raw power of the Stooges - sheer musical inquisitiveness spliced with a sure ear for a stadium chorus and with the voices to deliver. A perfect 21st century reminder of what teenage rock n roll should be.
