Bio

Flowers & Kain formed from the sweat of ‘Sweaty Forehead Mondays’ at Hannafin’s Irish Pub in New London, CT. Ryan Kain (Guitar,Vocals) and Bryan Flowers (Lead Vocals), life long friends and music collaborators, joined forces with local players Ian Kelly(drums) and Ed Briones(bass). The quartet quickly jelled into a “ass kicking, rockin’, rappin’,mashup a band”, according to local fan Fausto Lebron. In their first year F&K has played steadily throughout Ct., N.Y., R.I., and Vermont. They have been selected to play Hard Rock Cafe's 30th anniversary party at the Foxwoods Casino, a headline slot at Sailfest(250,000+) in New London, as well as a headline slot at Subfest in Ct.(100,000+).The last eight shows were sold out or were beyond capacities averaging four hundred people. F&K has shared the bill with Atlantic recording artist Ne-Yo, and are first and second round winners of the OS National Band Search. Spring 2007 marks F&K’s second year and their first album release, recorded at Trod Nossel studio in Ct., and mixed by Andy Stackpole. They will also appear on Asheville City Nights(universal/BRMP), a cable premiere featuring original unsigned bands. Radio stations 107.7, 90.9, and Q105 have been spinning F&K for over two months and have invited the band to play live at the station. Flowers and Kain is a high energy dance band with an undeniably hot sound, mashing up rock, rap, funk and reggae into a sweaty, writhing dancehall mix. Big Up Love Peace Respect!
