Bio
Ariel Natasha was one of six teens to represent New York City and Urban Word NYC at the 2011 International Brave New Voices poetry competition (in which they placed 2nd in the nation). She has had the immense pleasure of performing at some of New York City’s historic venues such as the Nuyorican Poets Café, Bowery Poetry Club, The Apollo Theatre, The New Amsterdam Theatre, Cooper Union’s Great Hall, etc. and LA's San Francisco Opera House. She is, as well, a Poet Ambassador through NYC’s Youth Poet Laureate program. In addition to spoken word/performance poetry, Ariel dedicates a great deal of her time to several additional forms of art. Those are modeling, emceeing, acting, photography/painting/drawing, and mentoring and advocating for youth in lower income areas of New York City. She has worked with Steve Azzara, and Maciek Jasik, performed at The Manhattan Theatre Source, The Educational Alliance, exercised the Forum Theatre technique with Girls For Gender Equity, LLC for Hunter College MSWs, and has performed with Pride Not Prejudice and Urban Words NYC for youth all over NYC in public high schools and beyond New York City in libraries and detention facilities.
