Flying Cars

Flying Cars is the collaboration between Bobby Gray (vocals/guitar) and D Boivin (drums/percussion). Bobby and D originally met and began playing music together in high school. They re-united in 2008 to form the NYC based gypsy rock outfit Asa Ransom. After touring heavily, writing/recording all across the U.S. and releasing three independent albums, the two decided to part ways with Asa Ransom in the fall of 2010 and form Flying Cars. Over the next six months material for their debut album “Cause of Motion” would be written and rehearsed in a private warehouse in Texas. “Cause of Motion” was recorded in Greenpoint (BK) and Chicago (USA).

Flying Cars’ sound is heavily composed of unique live rolling drum beats intertwined and layered with moving melodies and soulful rhythms that create a raw but smooth and infectious sound.
