Bio

Formed in 2004 and based in Northwest IN and Chicago's south suburbs, Midwest Beat Magazine has called Flying Just Below Radar "the latest gem to burst onto the Chicago punk scene (October 2005)." Composed of Jaime Aguirre (vocals/guitar) of Hazelcrest IL, John Poomduang (guitar/vocals) of Lockport IL, Betina Gozo (bass/vocals) of Homewood IL, and Chris Foss (drums/vocals) of Hobart IN, Flying Just Below Radar bring a fresh blend of aggresive vocals, melodic harmonies, hardcore breakdowns, and driving rhythms. Having toured the Midwest with acts like Bleed the Dream (Warcon Records), Firescape (Something Corporate side-project), Junction 18 (Fearless Records), Eleven Minutes Away (Deep Elm Records), and having shared the stage with the likes of Punchline, Lorene Drive, The Kinison, Much The Same and more, Flying Just Below Radar have become notorious not only for their constant touring and weekend trips, but also for their live performance that never lacks in energy or intensity.
After months of perfecting their studio sound with producer Ben Soleim (Macabre, Messugah), FJBR released their self-titled EP in August 2005 on Smith Seven Records, from Memphis TN, where the band reigns supreme. Taking advantage of internet communities (primarily myspace.com), FJBR heavily promoted their new record online and sold close to 200 records within the first three weeks of its release.
With plans for extensive touring in 2006, their knack for working hard, and plenty of tricks up their sleeves, it's only a matter of time before Flying Just Below Radar makes their mark on the radar.
