i'd been trained as a classical guitarist but found the genre too constricting. still, the chops stayed with me as i moved to jazz, and now blues, folk and rock - it was in barcelona - where i was living in exile - that i got homesick - and springsteen, dylan, woody, and dire straits all came to the rescue - i finally picked up the guitar again and the songs flowed. i came back to the states - - it took several years but eventually i created Waiting For A Friend -
