In a music world full of genres & groups that seem to sound the same, For Now Anonymous brings a new, cutting-edge originality to the Toronto music scene. Drawing on a variety of musical styles and influences, both of the past & present, FNA stands ready and anxious for their future as a fierce, competitive addition to the emerging world of rock music. Pumping out a viscously heavy harmony, FNA?s rhythm section of experienced Jazz / Rock drummer Mike Thomas and bottom-heavy bassist Mark Davidson keep listeners in anticipation of where the next groove will take them. Don't let the punchy rhythms fool you though, as their blend of skill and execution answer the melodic demands of a duelling guitar harmony, created by lead guitarist Greg Keyes and rhythm guitarist Nik Bojovich. Commanding his instrument at every turn, Greg Keyes draws on an intense knowledge of musical harmony and theory. Schooled in an array of musical styles and playing techniques, (including jazz, flamenco, classical, and rock to name a few) Greg?s masterful understanding of musical practices allow him to innovate new sounds using synthesized guitar tones in addition to more traditional effects such as heavy distortion etc. But another voice can also be heard cutting through the mix, that of rhythm guitarist Nik Bojovich. Responding with his own brand of experience, Nik adds a new dimension to the already roaring riffs, at once supporting and enhancing the grooves & melodies with slicing clarity. In addition, Nik lends his powerful yet melodic voice, creating blasts of harmony as commanding as his presence on stage. These melodies all work inside a 3-part vocal harmony, rounded out by Greg, Nik, and lead vocalist Shawn Kirpatrick. Connecting the band?s bottom-up diversity, Shawn offers a distinct voice as flexible and diverse as the rest of the band itself. Ranging from melodic harmonies to gut wrenching screams, Shawn finds the perfect tone that stands to instantly balance & unify the various abilities, and subtle compleities the band has to offer. With a clarity of vision, this band offers a sound that is undeniably heavy, unpredictably melodic, but For Now Anonymous.
