Bio
Folk Riot is an LA-based, 6-piece rock band that blends southern gothic, folk and indie rock. The band's sound is a sonic wall of piano, guitar, bass and drums with gripping vocals, sanded with harmonies and thoughtful lyrics. The songs sway from one style to the next effortlessly, keeping the audience riveted.
Singer/songwriter Brandon McCulloch, (whose songs have been featured on The Deadliest Catch, Smallville and One Tree Hill) joined forces with talented friends Mike Yarbrough (guitar), and Tyler Johnson (harmonies/tambourine).
Folk Riot was awarded a residency at Hollywood's hip Piano Bar, and are featured there regularly (always the first Thursday of each month). They also play regularly at Hollywood's Sassafras saloon.
The band is recording and rehearsing in Los Feliz.
